Shaping the Future

In just under five decades, the University of California, Irvine has achieved unprecedented growth and success. To promote further accomplishments in pioneering research and innovative discoveries, UC Irvine is partnering with alumni, friends, corporations, and foundations from across the region in a comprehensive fundraising campaign.

This dynamic partnership has propelled the University into the top tier of national universities. Furthermore, in 2012, The Times Higher Education ranked UCI #1 in the U.S. and #4 in the world among the 100 best universities less than 50 years old. Founded in 1965, UCI also is the youngest university to gain membership in the prestigious Association of American Universities.

Now 7 years into its 10-year fundraising campaign, UCI has raised more than $765 million toward its $1 billion goal for scholarships, fellowships, endowed professorships, new research programs and facilities, capital improvements and initiatives for public service and community outreach. We are leveraging our greatest strengths to shape the future of issues that are especially relevant to our community, our nation and our world.

Thanks to the generosity of our friends and investors, UCI is playing a significant role among the top public universities in America and the finest universities in the world.
